Internet Speed Problem Analysis

From time to time users face problems when the download speed from or to an Internet resource is lower than the bandwidth of external channels, which was specified. In this case, it is necessary to test the network bandwidth between the cloud VM and the Internet.

To run the test, go to the cloud VM, open your browser and go to https://www.speedtest.net/

Clicking the Go button will start measuring VM bandwidth to the nearest test server in the Internet, first towards the cloud then backwards:

When the tests are finished, a window with the results will open. There you will see the speed in both directions and a link to the test results (Result ID):

In case the test results are significantly different from the specified bandwidth, in order to fix the problem you need to make a request to technical support and attach a link to the test results. In case the test results correspond to the specified ones - the download speed from the Internet resource is caused by network limitations or settings on this resource. In this case, the problem is beyond the responsibility of Cloud4Y and you should contact its technical support to resolve the situation.
