Converting VHD to VMDK Using StarWind V2V Converter

StarWind V2V Converter is a free tool that enables simple and convenient conversion of virtual machines and their disks between various virtualization platform formats. It supports the following virtual disk formats:

  • Input formats: VMDK, VHD/VHDX, StarWind native IMG, QCOW2

  • Output formats: VMDK, VHD/VHDX, StarWind native IMG, QCOW2
    (Bidirectional conversion between any supported formats)

Conversion Process

  1. Select Source Disk

    • Specify the location of your source VHD disk

2. Configure Destination Settings

  • Select VMDK as the target format

  • Choose the disk type (thin/thick provisioned)

 

3. Complete Conversion

  • Specify the destination path

  • Start the conversion process
