Before installing vCloud Availability, you need to perform the following steps:
- Connect the DRaaS service (in the cloud) with the help of your personal manager.
- Get attachment point address
- Check that your EDGE is configured correctly, you have created networks and they have a SNAT rule.
Initially, you need to download the appliance via the link (registration on vmware is required).

Deploy the downloaded image by standard means.
After creating the VM name, placement, network settings, etc., you need to configure the template:
- Specify user password root (a temporary, then it must be changed).
- Enter NTP server address
- Specify network settings
Confirm the creation of the virtual machine.
After the successful import and creation of the VM, run it - go to the console and see the address to connect to the portal. https://адрес_вм/ui/admin.
Go to the address and press Run initial setup wizard
Specify lookup service connection address to your local vCenter and SSO administrator credentials (login and password). After that you need to accept the certificate.

Organization Password is an administrator password for your tenant.
Activate Allow Access from Cloud. This option allows the administrator of vCloud to access the local vCenter, this option can be enabled/disabled when necessary. For example, before migration.
Accept the certificate.
Next, if you activate the Configure local placement now option, you will need to specify the location of virtual machines migrated from vCloud to the local vCenter.
Complete the client installation by clicking Finish.
Then you can start the migration. To do this, go to vCloud in the More - vCloud Availability (M14) menu.
If you want to migrate from your local vCenter to the public vCloud cloud - choose From On-Prem, if you want to migrate from vCloud to your local vCenter, choose To On-Prem.
