A load balancer built into the advanced edge accepts UDP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS requests and distributes traffic across the server pool. The service monitor profile is used to monitor and relieve the load on failed servers. For processing application specific traffic - application profile, advanced features are available in application rules. A virtual server is responsible for binding to the port and ip address.
To enable the balancer, click enable and save changes:
To create a monitoring profile, go to the "Service Monitoring" tab and click the "+" button, the picture shows the settings for HTTPS type monitoring:
When creating a server pool, you must specify the balancing algorithm, monitoring profile and add the servers to the pool:
When creating an application profile, a set of options depends on the protocol, for example, in the case of HTTPS, you can add the client's ip address and cookies to track the session:
